Department of Purchasing and Disposition
The Purchasing & Supply Department is as Procurement Department responsible for the management, acquisition and supply of all sorts of equipment, medical products, and services at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
For each of these specialized fields is a team of strategic and operational purchasers in charge, which are headed by competent team leader.

As service for our internal customer base we implemented the “Einkaufs-Service-Point [Purchasing-Service-Center]” (ESP). It serves as first contact point for requests on orders, processes, etc., but also for suggestions of improvements and general recommendations.
Because of legal and organizational reasons the admission board is directly linked to the business area of “Technik & Betrieb [Technology & Operation]”. The Purchasing & Supply Department professionally prepares in cooperation with their partners (medical, technical hospitals, institutes, departments) the contract awarding procedure.
Top priority for our purchasing activities is:
Appropriate quality – costs in line with the market – acceptable delivery time.
